It is with great sadness that we the sons of Philip Agee -- noted
author and activist for peace and social justice -- inform the American
public and international community that our father passed away due to
natural causes Monday evening, January 7, 2008, at 10:45 pm in Havana.
He was 72.
We would especially like to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude
to all the doctors, nurses, and health-care workers who lovingly and
graciously cared for him during the last days of his life.
We would also like to offer our most heartfelt appreciation to all
those who over the course of more than 40 years have in so many
ways demonstrated unwavering support and admiration for his lifelong
struggle for peace, social and economic justice, and a better world.
