The news is actually rather old,  but I've placed one of the news

It's easy to find more once you have the name and the subject.  It's
apparently quite simple to ignite salt water with HF radio waves.

I saw this and several other snippets of this guy's interviews on
a number of YouTube, Yahoo! and Google Videos over the past
year (or more).  In at least one of them, he was everything but
saying outright that he was in fear for his life since the US Gov
started poking around in his business.

You can Google this guy (and other related terms; salt water fuel,
etc.) and see a few more snippets from other TV re****ts.  He
mentions the government (or someone who can get past some
mighty fine security systems) breaking into his office/garage.
NASA has a serious interest in his accidental discovery.

10 to 1 says the guy either ends up dead or a major oil company
buys up his discovery, patents it, and buries it at 20,000 leagues
beneath humanity's reach.  Since we haven't heard anything new
from him in about a year, perhaps this has already happened.

Who knows.... we live in an odd, cor****ate controlled country.
