A calloused view from the otherside of the pond.
I can recall an investigative re****t on the BBC's national Radio Four
from about two years ago that claimed the USA experimented on its
citizen in the 1950's. From what I can remember, some of these tests
were conducted in the San Fransico area and involved spraying parts of
the city with various gases/bugs - just to see what whould happen.

I know that I taped the broadcast - but I also know I'm unlikely to
find it anywhere anytime soon, so that's about it for my contribution
other than to suggest you start in the BBC archives.

pps, I wonder if Hunter S Thompson would understand that this Dutch
girl doesn't hate Americans - but she's really not keen on America (the
rest of the United States I'm usually okay with - well, all apart from
the parts where they shoot the bears, that is).
