UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Rueters) --
Campus police at Penn State University
discovered a portion of petrified human
brain outside the back entrance of the
Dept. of Anthropology Building today.
"We estimate it's a minimum of 280
million years, undoubtedly dating back
to the time that coal was being
formed," said Lt. Oscar Shagnasty. "It
certainly must be as old as anthracite,
give or take a few thousand years.
"We've had no reports of any of our
anthropologists or paleontologists
being missing, so we can rule out
the possibility that it's one of them."
University President Graham Spanier
said it undoubtedly is "the greatest
discovery in the history of the world."
His comments had to be limited,
he apologized, because he said his
breakfast was getting cold.
Incidently, Spanier was having
breakfast with Joe Paterno and new
Independent Presidential candidate
Curtis R. Greenwald, founder, president
CEO of Bots-R-Us.
