Re: TEARS ON THE INTERNET

This post was in another group! The person answered my post telling me
that a MOVIE should be made about "TEARS ON THE INTERNET!" I would like
you all to read it. ~~
Re: TEARS ON THE INTERNET ~~ I like what you wrote Tom, I always thought
it would be cool to make a film on that very subject. It's easy to open
yourself up on the Internet than it is anywhere else. It's almost like
when someone wears a mask and they feel a lot more free. You feel like
you don't have to worry about whether or not this person approves or
disapproves of your behavior or for being who you are because they're
not directly in front of you. When we have to be in someone's physical
presence every day or week we feel more concerned about how they'll view
us if we do or say certain things in front of them. On the Internet you
always feel like, "Well, if I make too big an idiot out of myself, I can
always just stop chatting with them and they'll forget I even existed."
Whereas in real life after something awkward, you might have to see that
person constantly. Then because of this freedom of expression, it's a
lot easier to start liking someone over the Internet. Both people are
telling each other things they probably don't even tell their friends or
people they work with. So now you feel like someone knows you more than
anyone else in the world. Sometimes it ends in sadness, though, like you
said Tom, because maybe that person just likes talking to you and
they're not seriously thinking of you as nothing more than just someone
to flirt with when they're alone and not in the physical presence of
another. And maybe that's all you want from that person too, but it may
sadden you to know that no matter how much you wish things could go
further with them, they won't.
But yeah, I like what you wrote Tom and always thought there was good
material storywise for a film in this subject. (A Good Idea for sure!
Tom)
