Re: First Paying Gig - How much should I charge?

Jim,
no kidding on the expensive... since September, I have bought a 300D, 30D,

wacom 6x11 tablet, CS3, 6 lens, 4 photo bags, flash, remote shutter
releases, 5-2gig CF cards, 4 batteries, $200 in books, and on it goes, my
next "investment" is a 19" wide (Samsung?) monitor and eventually a
printer,
but there is a guy locally that is doing my greeting cards with a lazer
color on acid free stock and his printing has a special polymer coating,
supposed to last 150 years... fer $1 page (8.5x11) .... and wally mart
does
my 4x6 prints fer 20 cents... cant beat that...

I would suggest if you are doing THAT much work for THAT MANY pix, you
better get a good buck... start watching your time, and I would say at
least
10-20$hr fro the editing, plus the shooting fee.. what is fireworking??
never heard that term before...

I am heavily involved in a toastmasters conference this upcoming weekend,
after that I just need to spend more time shooting, sorting, editing and
selling my pix... kk
