Wow! a romantic politician!
You conflate  Loyalists and rightards. The rich, Rebel rightards went
home to tend their farms or ply their trades and professions for
profit, whilst paying the under-privileged to fight long-term in the
revolutionary army.

There is no doubt that the American revolution was a step forward from
Monarchy, but this does not change the fact that the American rich
hired  the indigent or immigrant poor to do their dirty work. Even
Wa****ngton admits he owed his success to the efforts of  a mercenery
'patriot' army.
